Family Photographer near Letchworth State Park, Western New York
Next visit: May 2027. Spots are limited, so request your date early.
Deep gorges, rushing waterfalls and fresh spring green: Western New York in May is beautiful for family photos. Letchworth State Park, often called the Grand Canyon of the East, and the waterfalls of Stony Brook State Park are two of my favorite spots.
Where we can shoot
- A gorge overlook at Letchworth State Park at golden hour
- The waterfall trail at Stony Brook State Park for an Adventure Session
- A Finger Lakes shoreline or a quiet country field for a relaxed session
Good to know
- New York State Parks can require a permit for professional photography. I'll check with the park and handle it. Any fee is added at cost.
- Spring trails can be wet and muddy near the waterfalls. Bring shoes that can get dirty and a change for little ones.
- May evenings are cool. A light layer in a color that goes with your outfits works well.
