Family Photographer in the Great Smoky Mountains
Next visit: Mid-October 2026. Spots are limited, so request your date early.
Mountain views, old split-rail fences, quiet creeks and forest trails make the Smokies one of the prettiest places to photograph a family. Whether you're camping nearby or visiting for a long weekend, I'll find a spot that fits your crew.
Where we can shoot
- A pull-off with a long mountain view at golden hour
- An easy creek-side or forest trail for an Adventure Session
- A quiet spot near your campground if the kids are tired of the car
Good to know
- Small family sessions in the national park usually don't need a photography permit. Larger groups or extra equipment can, and I'll check before we book.
- The park requires a parking tag for vehicles parked in the park, even for a photo session. Have yours before we meet.
- Popular overlooks get busy at sunset in the fall. I'll suggest quieter options.
Permit details from Great Smoky Mountains NP: Filming and Still Photography. Rules change, so I confirm them before every session.
