Sand, surf, dunes and maritime forest trails: Virginia Beach is made for summer family photos. If your kids surf or boogie board, let's make that part of the story.

Where we can shoot

• A quieter stretch of beach at sunrise or sunset
• Dune and maritime forest trails at First Landing State Park
• In the water, if your crew surfs or boogie boards

Good to know

• Mid-July is hot and beaches are busy midday. Early morning and evening sessions are cooler and calmer.
• If we choose a state park or city beach that needs a photography permit, I'll handle it. Any fee is added at cost.

• Mini Session: 20 minutes, 10 edited images, $295
• Family Session: 60 minutes at golden hour, 30 edited images, $795
• Adventure Session: 2 hours somewhere epic, 30 edited images, $1,295
